Companion doll to Bleuette Silver.
This was the first Bleuette from 1905, known as "Premier Bleuette" or the Bleuette Jumeau. The publisher of the magazine, La Semaine de Suzette (Suzette's Week), commissioned the SFBJ firm to make Bleuette dolls in 1905. They made 20,000 dolls. When these were sold out, the publisher commissioned SFBJ to make other models, one being the SFBJ301, or what we call Bleuette Silver. Doll is incised with a 1 over a 2 and is painted very much like a Jumeau. Pierced ears, paperweight eyes and open mouth with four teeth.
The Bleuette Silver fits on the same composition body.
